The purposes of this grant are to continue and expand DOEE’s commitment to fund innovative watershed-focused initiatives, to build capacity among new and low-capacity community-based organizations and small businesses, to support the advancement of diversity, equity, and equity in the award-making process and in the projects being implemented, and support community partners through capacity-building initiatives like grant writing and management. By “low-capacity,” DOEE means small organizations or businesses with limited experience or without dedicated-grant writing staff.

$700,000 is available for the first two years.
Project Period
The project period is two years, with the option of up to two additional years, for a total of four years.

The institutions below may apply for these grant funds:
- Nonprofit organizations, including those with IRS 501(c)(3);
- Faith-based organizations;
- Government agencies;
- Universities/educational institutions; and
- Private Enterprises
