Purpose Areas Pursuant to the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2023, Pub. L. No. 117-328, funds under this program must be used for the following purposes:
- Expand access to sexual assault services on college campuses by developing a holistic sexual assault services model that could be replicated on other campuses; and
- Develop a promising practice guide based on the campus victim services model developed for other institutions to replicate or adapt.
Funding Information
- OVW estimates supporting two awards for an estimated $1,500,000.00.
- Awards under the Campus Victim Services Pilot for FY 2024 will be made for up to $750,000.00.
Project Period
The award period is 36 months.
Eligibility Criteria
Eligible applicants are limited to:
- Institutions of higher education located in the Gulf Coast Region: Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, and Florida, with expertise in providing holistic sexual assault services on campus, and an established campus-based sexual assault nurse examiner program, an established campus-based multi-disciplinary sexual assault response team, affiliation agreements with both an acute care hospital-based sexual assault program and a community-based sexual assault victim service provider, and existing infrastructure to provide evidence and simulation-based training and education to multidisciplinary team members; or
- Other institutions of higher education with a demonstrated history of providing victim services and advocacy for survivors of sexual assault and strengthening a coordinated community response to prevent and address sexual assault.
