These funds will provide local governments with funds to match federal grants.
Funding Information
During the 2022 regular session in House Bill 2 one million dollars was secured from the receipt of general funds to be distributed that will provide matching funds for local governments to apply for federal grants and other funding.
Eligibility Criteria
- Application must demonstrate that 100% of funding for total project costs have been secured.
- A grant agreement will be executed between the Local Government Division and the local or tribal government.
- Grant funds will be upon a grant agreement being executed, and a pay request for the funds being received by the grantee.
- Reporting of how the funds were expensed to include which grants were applied to using the matching funds and if the grant funds were awarded.
- Applicants must list the project on their ICIP for which they are seeking matching funds.
- One application per entity.
- Additional points will be given for applicants that are seeking grants that will expand healthcare, affordable housing hazardous mitigation efforts, or infrastructure projects.
- Additional points will be given to applicants that are seeking matching funds for rural or frontier communities.
- Additional points will be given to applicants that are seeking matching points for multiple or regional community.
