Request for Proposals for Distance Learning and Telemedicine Grants

Dated: December 2, 2022

The Distance Learning and Telemedicine Grants (DLT)Program provides financial assistance to enable and improve distance learning and telemedicine services in rural areas.

Donor Name: Rural Utilities Service

State: All States

County: All Counties

Type of Grant: Grant

Deadline: 01/30/2023

Size of the Grant: $1,000,000

Details:

The Distance Learning and Telemedicine (DLT) Grant Program is specifically designed to assist rural communities in acquiring distance learning and telemedical technologies so that local teachers and medical service providers who serve rural residents can link to other teachers, medical professionals, and experts located at distances too far to access otherwise. Since 1994, the DLT Grant Program has helped to establish hundreds of distance learning and telemedicine systems improving quality of life for thousands of residents in rural communities across the United States.

DLT grant funds support the use of telecommunications-enabled information, audio and video equipment, and related advanced technologies by students, teachers, medical professionals, and rural residents. These grants are intended to increase rural access to education, training, and health care resources that are otherwise unavailable or limited in scope

The Rural Utilities Service (RUS) strongly encourages applicants to obtain all necessary signups, credentials, and authorizations well in advance of the deadline, including the required System for Award Management (SAM.gov) registration and Financial Assistance Representations and Certifications. Grants.gov requires one-time credentialing and online authentication procedures.
