Eligibility Requirements
- Denver Business Journal’s Outstanding Women in Business are innovators, leaders and game-changers. They will recognize women who are leading their industries and communities through a period of rapid change and unprecedented challenges. One Lifetime Achievement Award winner will also be selected.
- Winners will be showcased in a Denver Business Journal special section published August 1, 2025, and recognized at a special awards celebration on Thursday, July 31.
- Eligibility:
- Self-nominations are encouraged.
- Nominees must have a physical presence in the Denver metro area (Adams, Arapahoe, Boulder, Broomfield, Denver, Douglas and Jefferson counties).
Judging
- LEADERSHIP: Has the candidate proven themselves a leader at their organization and the business community at large? Did they step into a leadership role and expand their role and responsibilities within the company?
- CONTRIBUTIONS TO THEIR COMPANY: What new systems and/or innovations have they created within the organization that contributes to the company’s success?
- COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT: How do they give back? Do they serve on a board or volunteer for an organization? Have they created a new program within their organization or overseen fundraising? Are they on the ground doing community work? How is this person changing the community at large?
