Funding Information
Grants will be made between $500 and $2000 per nonprofit organization.
Funds may not be granted for projects that
- Promote or advocate any political or religious belief;
- Promote or solicit for:
- purchase or use of tobacco products;
- purchase, use, or consumption of alcoholic beverages;
- commercial transactions for pornography or sexually explicit goods or services;
- services involving avoidance or termination of pregnancy; and/or
- advocate violence or discrimination against individuals or groups.
Eligibility Criteria
- The 2022 “City of Helena” Fund will only be distributed to 501(c)(3) organizations in the greater Helena area, with a priority given to organizations operating within the Helena city limits. Funds must be used for projects with an expressed public purpose that benefit the residents of the City of Helena.
- Priorities will be given to nonprofits operating within the Helena city limits who demonstrate a meaningful, specific need that can be fulfilled with a small grant.
- If your organization is housed outside of the Helena city limits but provides services within Helena, you may still apply. Grants made to organizations operating outside the Helena city limits are subject to additional approval by the Helena City Manager prior to funding.
