The District receives and reviews funding requests for projects, programs and items which improve the quality of life, community image, health and safety, and general welfare of residents, employers, and consumers within East Montgomery County.
Projects and/or the beneficiaries of projects to be funded by grants must be located and/or reside or serve persons residing within the boundaries of EMCID. EMCID will generally consider applications for projects with “one-time” or “lump sum” costs. No grant will be approved for projects which require multiple payments or the funding of servicing costs incurred over time unless all costs associated with a project funded by a grant which exceeds the initial amount approved will be funded by the applicant. Evidence of the applicant’s source of funds for such ongoing funding must be submitted with the application.

Requirements
The following is a list of requirements for applicants and applications.
- Applicant is ineligible for grants if it is not in compliance with or has failed to meet any requirement of any previously funded community grant or with the terms of or requirements in any grant agreements entered into in connection with such previous grant.
- Applicant must provide IRS Determination Letter with the name that is identical to the name on the applicant’s grant application. If the names do not match, the applicant must provide sufficient evidence of authority to receive the grant on behalf of the entity named in the IRS Determination Letter.
- Applicant must submit a Disclosure of Interested Parties (Form 1295) with the application.
