2022 Learn, Play, Create (LPC) Grant for Youth-serving Organizations – New York

The Dutchess County Government is seeking applications for its 2022 Learn, Play, Create (LPC) Grant to enhance and empower opportunities for children to learn, play, and create, while filling an educational, financial, social, and/or emotional void as a result of the quarantine and stay-at-home orders necessitated by COVID-19.

Details:

The LPC grant opportunity is open to youth-serving organizations that promote learning, art enrichment, and sports activities. Funding will be awarded for specific purchases or needs related to enhancing youth opportunities, such as equipment, supplies, or other one-time expenses.

To address the negative economic impact of the COVID-19 public health emergency on youth, Dutchess County is investing in youth-serving organizations that promote learning, art enrichment, and sports activities.

Funding Information

The estimated availability for this round of applications is $500,000. Funding will be awarded as a one-time advance payment.

Funding Limits Arts/Sports/Expanded Learn Organizations

  • Minimum $2,500
  • Maximum $20,000

Eligible Expenses

Equipment, supplies, or other one-time expenses (e.g., athletic uniforms, sports equipment, theater supplies, computers, e-books, pop-up event/program, etc.) purchased within the term of the agreement.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Any youth-serving non-profit organization with a federal tax ID or EIN who did not receive Learn, Play, Create funding in 2021 and whose primary mission aligns with providing a service or administering a program that promotes learning, art enrichment, and sports engagement.
  • Clubs can partner with other eligible non-profit organizations to apply on their behalf if they do not have a federal tax ID or EIN.

Ineligible Applicants

Organizations who received Learn, Play, Create funding in 2021, as well as school districts, private and religious schools, including school-funded clubs and/or programs, and municipal-funded/sponsored departments or clubs.
