Rock Rose’s mission is to support local organizations working toward equitable community development.

They are looking for S.O.L.I.D. partners in Bell County:

  • Sustainable: They expect their partners to be both environmentally conscious and economically sound, with plans in place to perpetuate their work without continuous investment.
  • Original: They want partners with new ideas. They are open to investing in unproven concepts, so they can attempt to prove them together!
  • Local: They partners must be part of the communities they serve. Programs must directly impact the community in which the organization exists.
  • Impactful: They want partners who have a plan that can make a large impact from small funding.
  • Diverse: They expect their partners to include diverse voices within their organization, and serve a diverse community.

Grant Purpose

Grants are open to individuals and organizations who want to turn strong ideas into action, emphasizing community diversity, equality, and social justice.

  • Service Area: City of Killeen and Bell County, Texas.
  • Initiatives should benefit traditionally disenfranchised populations in the service area
  • Proposals should demonstrate how funding will directly impact a community or population.

Available Funds: $30,000 (to be divided among chosen applicants based on program needs).

Eligibility Criteria

  • Non-profit organizations – 501(c)3 status not required, although preferred
    • Priority given to newer organizations OR established organizations developing a new idea that may struggle to receive traditional funding
    • Organizations should be able to demonstrate awareness of and progress toward diversity in staffing and leadership
  • Individuals
    • Individuals with a good idea and a solid plan to implement it will be considered.
    • Rock Rose Foundation does NOT provide educational scholarships at this time.
