Details:
With a goal for all students to have both access and opportunity to engage in Computer Science experiences, this CSTEC grant has two purposes. The secondary goal is to promote the use of physical computing to engage students in Computer Science education.
Each grant shall include funding for up to five teachers to join a professional organization for Computer Science teachers, i.e. the Computer Science Teachers Association (CSTA), and registration costs to attend a national CS-focused conference. The estimated cost is $500 per teacher. The award also includes funds to purchase a class set of physical computing devices and the necessary professional training for implementation and use, estimated at $1,500 per teacher. Only one competitive grant will be awarded per system.
