  • TC Tier 1 Grant ($500 to $15,000)
  • TC Tier 2 Grant ($15,001 to $50,000+)

Guidelines

  • The Thursday Club Foundation Grant Funds are not applicable towards the following:
    • General operating expenses (such as rent or mortgage payments, dues or subscriptions, warranties or service contracts, utility costs, etc.) or reserve funds
    • Salaries, wages and fringe benefits
    • Capital campaigns, including building or constructions costs; acquisition of real estate
    • Endowment or investment accounts
  • The Thursday Club Foundation Grant does not fund existing obligations, deficits, debts, leases, or reimbursements
  • Funded grants must be used within San Diego County to benefit the people of San Diego County.
  • All expenditures of funds must be reported and applied only toward the specific stated grant application purpose. Using The Thursday Club Foundation Grant funds for anything other than the specific stated purpose on the grant application would cause a forfeiture of funding rights and can result in a demand for repayment, as well as potential exclusion from future grant application eligibility. Note: Grant checks will not be made payable to any individual under any circumstances; all checks will be made payable only to the granted non-profit entity/organization
  • All applications approved for funding will be encouraged to volunteer with The Thursday Club and its entities by supporting its fundraising efforts
  • All beneficiaries of the Thursday Club Foundation Grant Year 2023-2024 must provide both a balance sheet and income statement, with supporting documentation, confirming the expenditure of all funds by the end of the calendar year, December 31, 2024. Extensions for the expenditure of funds and/or reports will be considered on a case-by-case basis by The Thursday Club Foundation Board
  • Applicants who are funded in grant year 2023-2024 must wait two calendar years to reapply
  • Applicants must have been based in San Diego with the Federal 501(c)(3) status and a State 23701D tax identification charitable status for a minimum of two years prior to the date of application.  Documentation is required to be submitted with this application.
