The Arts Council of Anne Arundel County is once again administering this program to distribute American Recovery Plan Act funding to the local arts community. ACAAC will offer one-time grants of up to $2,500 for Anne Arundel County-based independent, professional artists to compensate for financial losses sustained due to COVID-19.
Through the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021, t he federal government has made funds available to local jurisdictions, including Anne Arundel County, to assist in recovery from the C OVID- 19 pandemic. The County Council has appropriated funds for distribution to qualified entities in Anne Arundel County, and County Executive Steuart Pittman has allocated a portion of these monies to help rebuild the local arts economy.
Eligibility Criteria
- Independent Artists, who are defined as artists who earn income from artistic activities and are not full – time salaried employees of a larger organization.
- Individuals must be 18 years of age or older.
- Applicants must be county residents (owning or renting residential real property in Anne Arundel County at the time of the submission of the application).
- Artists who have studio or workspace in Anne Arundel but reside in another county will be considered for funding.
