Funding Information
The organization will be required to raise $5,000 to receive a matching grant of anywhere between $2,500-$5,000. The money raised and the matching dollars will go into the organization’s endowment fund at the Lawton Community Foundation. The amount awarded will depend on the demand each year. 50% of the contributions must come from individual donors. Each organization must provide a plan on how the $2,500 from individuals will be raised.
Eligibility Criteria and Requirements
The grant program will be limited to organizations in the Lawton area providing programs primarily for the citizens of the Lawton area. All requesting organizations must be Internal Revenue Code section 501(c)(3) organizations which are public charities or which are subsidiaries of state or local governments. No grants can be made to private foundations or economic development organizations. All requesting organizations may only submit one application for each deadline.
