The mission of the Animal-Assisted Therapy Fund is to promote and provide animal-assisted therapy for people of all ages with mental, emotional and psychological challenges, all in the memory of Cordelia Anne Brinton.
Priority will be given to organizations and programs where animals are nourished and cared for in the therapeutic healing processes versus companion animals.

Grants generally range from $300 to $2,000.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible to apply for funding, an organization must:
- be classified as a charitable organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code; or classified as an organization under Section 170(c)(1) of the Internal Revenue Code; and
- be located in or provide service to residents within the seven counties of northeast Minnesota (Aitkin, Carlton, Cook, Itasca, Koochiching, Lake and St. Louis) and/or Bayfield, Douglas, and Ashland counties in northwestern Wisconsin. Additional service organizations, outside of the above region, must be recommended by the Donor Advisor.
