This opportunity will provide $5,000 and $10,000 grants to Long Beach organizations conducting events aimed at generating consumer spending at local businesses to aid in their economic recovery from the impacts of COVID-19. Activations must take place outside of Business Improvement District (BID) areas, and be spread across the City with an emphasis on supporting business located in low-and-moderate income areas.

Eligibility Criteria
- Business or nonprofit organization organizing a business-focused event or promotion with the goal of increasing consumer spending for multiple businesses
- Events are not currently funded by the Activate LB Cultural Special Events Program OR the ActivateLB City Event Direct Relief
- Event entrance must be free and open to the public, although there may be vendors or paid elements within the event
- Organizations must have an active or delinquent Long Beach Business License
- Location of event/promotion must be outside of all Business Improvement District boundaries (Airport TBIA excluded). View the Long Beach BIDs and boundaries online.
- Organizers must obtain all necessary permits and comply with any relevant health orders. Please review the Special Event Permits and Fees website in anticipation of submitting your application.
- Not have been a party to a claim or litigation involving the City of Long Beach in the past three years
- Have no active and unresolved code enforcement or COVID-19 Health Order violations
