Capacity Grants support consultant-led projects up to $9,999 to help Connecticut organizations strengthen their internal operations and ability to bring the humanities to the public.
They support a wide range of consultant-led projects that may include:
- Board assessments and training
- Strategic planning
- Market assessments and planning
- Audience assessments
- Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Accessibility (IDEA) assessments, planning, and training
- Financial assessments and planning
- Development (fundraising) assessments and planning
- Collections assessments and planning
- Interpretive assessments and planning
- Technology assessments and planning.
Grant Period
12 months starting from the date of the award notification.
Eligibility Criteria
To apply for a Capacity Grant, your organization must regularly bring the humanities to the public and be one of the following:
- A 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization incorporated in the state of Connecticut for at least one year and governed by a board of directors that meets regularly
- A municipality in the state of Connecticut
- A Connecticut-based federally or State recognized tribe.
