The Northampton Arts Council is pleased to announce the opening of their ArtsEZ 2023 Spring Grant.

Details:

Individuals, schools, and arts organizations are encouraged to seek funding for creative projects to be held in Northampton, Florence, and Leeds. The grants are funded by the proceeds from the Northampton Arts Council’s signature events and series: Four Sundays, Performance, and First Night Northampton.

This spring, the Northampton Arts Council will grant up to $12,500 to local artists, schools, and arts groups. Grants will be awarded in the following categories: dance, film/video, literature, mixed media, music, schools, theater, and visual arts. Individual artists and arts organizations will receive equal consideration for grants.

Funding Priorities 

  • A component of the project must be held in and designed to impact audiences in Northampton, Florence, or Leeds
  • Projects held in accessible spaces
  • Projects that contribute to the artistic and cultural vibrancy in their community
  • Feasible and comprehensive budget; see below for more information
  • Special consideration will be given to:
    • new applicants
    • projects designed to center underrepresented identities and perspectives
    • free projects or projects that offer discounted or free admission to members of the community who cannot afford to pay
  • The Foundation welcomes all people to apply, including but not limited to those who have been historically marginalized based on race/ethnicity, age, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, neurodiversity, socioeconomic status, geography, citizenship status, or religion.

  • This spring, they will award up to $12,5000 in the following categories:
    • Dance, Literature, Media Arts, Multidisciplinary Arts, Music, Theater, and Visual Arts.
  • Grant award amounts typically range from $200-$2000

Eligible Applicants

  • Artists and arts & cultural programmers with proposed projects in Northampton, Florence, or Leeds
  • Non-profit cultural and educational institutions that offer programs and events that bring arts and culture to Northampton, Florence, and Leeds
