Bainbridge Community Foundation’s Community Grant Cycle 2023 – Washington

Dated: March 16, 2023

The Bainbridge Community Foundation is accepting applications for the 2023 Community Grants Cycle to support nonprofits serving Bainbridge Islanders in arts and culture, animal welfare, education, environment, health and human services, and recreation.

Donor Name: Bainbridge Community Foundation (BCF)

State: Washington

City: Bainbridge Island

Type of Grant: Grant

Deadline: 04/04/2023

Details:

Each year since this program’s beginning in 2005, BCF staff and dozens of well-trained community volunteers have spent hundreds of hours reviewing applications, conducting site visits, and setting priorities. BCF discretionary funds provide initial proposal funding; then Fund Advisors and the community at large are invited to partner with BCF to support these important programs. This community-based approach to grant-making ensures that community needs are met — by their own informed and engaged community members.

As a community foundation, they are generalists and help sustain all sectors of the nonprofit community. Grants are made for the following:

  • Animal Welfare
  • Arts, Culture, Humanities (including Recreation)
  • Disaster Relief
  • Education
  • Environment
  • Health and Human Services (including Housing)
  • Public/Society Benefit
  • Science/Technology
  • Social Science/Public Policy
