The Brisbane City Council has a sum of $38,000 remaining from the original amount of $200,000 to fund grants for small businesses impacted by COVID-19. The City has partnered with the Brisbane Chamber of Commerce to oversee the application process and selection of grant recipients in a second application round
Funding Information
Individual grants will not exceed $5,000.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible, businesses must:
- Be able to demonstrate a 15% or more loss in revenue or profit in 2020 compared to 2019 OR be a new business that started in 2020 and signed a lease in a commercial district
- Must have been in operation prior to March 19, 2020 (unless the business started in 2020), still be operational today, and remain operational once funds are distributed
- Be able to provide valid Brisbane business licenses for 2019-2022 (unless the business began in 2020, in which case 2020-2022 business licenses will be required)
- Be able to provide documentation to prove loss in revenue/profit
- Be able to provide a W-9 to the city
- Have not received a grant from the City of Brisbane in the first application round
- Have not made more than $5,000,000 in revenue in 2019
