Types of Projects
Funds are available to support any action or expenditure that will achieve the following objectives. This is not meant to be an exhaustive list, but rather provide examples of projects.
- Provide education about the natural world in Columbia County
- Supporting public education programs, workshops for Conservation Advisory Councils, conference attendance
- Facilitate or improve access to the outdoors
- Improving trails/trailheads, updating a website with information about outdoor access, improving park amenities
- Support your municipality’s land use planning resources or practices
- Training for staff
- Take action to conserve the natural world in Columbia County
- Improving water quality, planting pollinator gardens, installing rain barrels
Funding Information
CLC will award up to $500 per grant to individual municipalities, and $1,000 for joint projects. Grant awards range in size from $250 – $1,000.
Who is eligible to apply?
Any municipality in Columbia County may apply. Each municipality may submit only one application per funding cycle. Municipalities are encouraged to partner on joint applications; joint projects are eligible for a combined total of up to $1,000. Please submit only one application per project. Applications should be submitted by the municipality or an approved representative. CLC will remit payment to the municipality.
