Connection to the Conference
One of Stephany’s favorite educational events was the annual Central Texas African American Family Support Conference (CTAAFSC), where she was involved since its inception. To honor Stephany’s passions, personal goals, and her love and commitment to this conference, these scholarships will be awarded at the CTAAFSC on February 7-8, 2023, with award preference given to individuals for whom the conference is most intended.
What types of training and education are allowed?
Any educational or training opportunity that moves the applicant toward personal/professional goals.
Eligibility Criteria
Individuals who are Black, Indigenous, and/or people of color (BIPOC) and enrolled/enrolling in an educational or training opportunity for professional development or growth and need financial assistance to attend.
Decision Criteria
There is a preference for people residing in Central Texas and awards will be chosen based on:
- Lived experience with a mental health challenge and/or caring for a loved one with a mental health challenge.
- Financial impact of living with a mental health challenge and/or caring for a loved one with a mental health challenge.
- Need for financial support to advance education/training.
- Impact of living as a Black, Indigenous or Other Person of Color (BIPOC)
