Community Outreach grants are awarded in areas of social services, senior citizens, and mental health. Please note that this year, the committee is also highlighting projects that include a social justice component. Individuals, groups, and/or organizations which provide services that assist underserved residents of the incorporated City of Bowie are also encouraged to apply.
Although applicants need not live within the municipal limits of Bowie, the grant program for which they are seeking funds must directly benefit City of Bowie residents.
Funding Information
This year $15,000 is available to be awarded to successful applicants through a competitive selection process. The maximum amount that will be awarded for any grant is $5,000.
Who may apply?
Individuals, groups or organizations who will provide a program or project that will benefit residents of the City of Bowie may apply for the grant. Grant applicants do not need to be City residents, however programs should be conducted within the incorporated City of Bowie, whenever possible, to increase the likeliness of including City residents.
