The Forney Household Grant Program will distribute $500 one-time grants to eligible households which have been disproportionately impacted by the COVID-19 public health emergency.
To assist in the administration of funds, the U.S. Treasury defines disproportionately impacted households as participating in one or more Federal assistance programs. These programs are:
- Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF)
- Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)
- Supplemental Security Income (SSI)
- Head Start and/or Early Head Start
- Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP)
- Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC)
- Medicare Part D Low-Income Subsidies
- Section 8 Vouchers Applicants must provide proof of participation in one of the above programs. Other eligibility requirements include (1) households are limited to one grant per household and (2) households must be within Forney city limits. Proof of home address will be used as verification.
