The Pearland Convention and Visitors Bureau has managed the Cultural Arts Grant Program since 2013.
Funding Information
- Funding for the Cultural Arts/Fine Arts Grant Program is limited up to $40,000 for 2024. The maximum grant application awarded will be $6,000.
- Grant applications will include programming to occur between October 1, 2023, and September 30, 2024, which marks the beginning and end of the city’s 2024 fiscal year.
Eligibility Criteria
Cultural Arts Grants are open to any nonprofit organization located in the city limits of Pearland. In order to be eligible, projects must meet ALL of the following eligibility criteria:
- Must be a nonprofit organization, 501(c)3;
- Applicant must be the president and/or official signatory for the organization;
- Organization must be located within the Corporate City Limits of the City of Pearland;
- Grant funds must be used for development and public awareness of Cultural Arts/Fine Arts programs;
- Only one grant application per entity, per year will be considered;
- Recipients must show the impact they have on hotel/motel and tourism industry.
Evaluation Criteria
Applications will be reviewed on a competitive basis and evaluated on the following criteria as well as additional criteria stated throughout the application:
- Application is complete and clearly written;
- Project features innovative Cultural Arts programming;
- Project focus is on the development of Cultural Arts programs;
- Project provides public awareness of Cultural Arts programs;
- 50% minimum match funding required;
- Applicant can provide proof of impact to the hotel/motel and tourism industry;
- Compliance with past application and procedures.
