Details:

The City of Ponca City has secured $250,000 in federal funding through the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 (ARPA) in order to provide grants to qualifying small businesses that are trying to adjust to the changes caused by the global pandemic.

This program is being administered through a partnership between The City of Ponca City and the Ponca City Development Authority (PCDA) and will try to fund as many qualified applicants as possible. Applicants are advised that due to the competitive nature of this funding, meeting all qualifications does not automatically mean that a business will receive a grant as funds are limited. It will be the responsibility of the applicant to demonstrate their need.

Funding Information

Businesses meeting the requirements shall be considered eligible for a grant award in a range between $2,500 to a maximum of $10,000 based upon available funding.

Eligibility Criteria

Any for-profit business that meets ALL of the following criteria:

  • Priority consideration shall be given to businesses that have been in continuous operation from at least January 1, 2020 (or before) through the date of the application. The only exception may be dating in which the business had to close due to the government-imposed shutdown of non-essential business during the initial phase of the COVID pandemic. Secondary consideration will be given to businesses that opened at any time during 2020 and have remained in continuous operation.
  • The business must have a physical business location within the city limits of Ponca City.
  • The business may not have more than 20 employees.
  • The business must be structured as a sole proprietorship, partnership, corporation, S corporation (S subchapter), or limited liability company (LLC).
  • Multiple applications/applicants cannot simultaneously compete for funding for the same property parcel or address
