The City of  Vacaville is pleased to announce Covid Small Business Assistance Grant Program.

Donor Name: City of Vacaville

Type of Grant: Grant

Deadline: 12/02/2022

Size of the Grant: $25,000

Details:

The Vacaville small business community has faced significant challenges due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The intent of this grant program is to assist those business sectors in Vacaville who have sustained financial hardships caused or exacerbated by COVID-19 related mandates and are struggling most to recover from the pandemic. The City of Vacaville has allocated $1 million of its American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds for this program. ARPA funds have been provided by the Federal government to help with COVID-19 recovery.

Funding Information

The maximum grant award is $25,000. The amount of the grant will be based upon the business’s documented need, particularly focused on allowing for no more than three (3) months of operations continuity, and available resources. The applicant must demonstrate business losses equal to or greater than the requested award amount.

Criteria

To be eligible, the Business MUST:

  • Has experienced interruptions, closure or curtailed operations, loss of sales, or other negative financial impacts due to restrictions imposed due to COVID-19.
  • Can demonstrate that significant new costs were incurred for personal protective equipment or physical improvements to its processes or location, to comply with social distancing or other directives or recommendations issued by the county or state due to COVID-19.
  • Reported less than $1 million in gross receipts in calendar year 2021.
  • Still be operational today.
  • The business is located within Vacaville city limits.
  • Possess a current Vacaville business license.

Each Tax ID may apply once regardless of the number of businesses under that tax ID. An eligible business cannot be a publicly traded corporation, but ownership in a single franchise of a publicly traded corporation is allowable.

Notice: This local COVID-related grant program may be subject to federal and state income taxes unlike the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) and Economic Injury Disaster Loan (EIDL) which are federal programs.
