Community Support funds must be used by programs principally impacting low and moderate income (up to 200% of the Federal Poverty Line) residents of Staunton, Augusta County and/or Waynesboro.

- $25,000 has been set aside for this program in FY 24.
- Awards do not exceed $2,000.
Use of funds
Applicants should request reimbursable project supplies and other items for which receipts can be submitted. Examples would include one-time expenses, appliances, and emergency supports. Priority lies with requests seeking reimbursements for items that are not part of general operational expenses, have a direct relationship to client use and relate to CAPSAW’s mission.

Eligibility is limited to existing 501 (C) 3 nonprofits or local government organizations providing services to low- and moderate-income residents of Staunton, Augusta County and/or Waynesboro.
