The grants will be provided to eligible licensed “Child Care Learning Centers” based upon the number of employees on the business payroll as of January 1, 2023. Grants will be provided on a per employee basis with companies being eligible for $2,500 per employee up to $20,000.

Grants will also be provided to eligible licensed “Family Child Care Learning Homes” in the amount of $5,000.
Eligibility Criteria
The following are the basic eligibility requirements for applicants to be considered for grant funding through the Cobb County Child Care Grant. SelectCobb staff will review each application to ensure that all eligibility requirements are met. All eligible applications will be reviewed by an internal audit to ensure completion. It is vital for all applicants to submit the required accompanying documentation to ensure a complete application submittal. The eligibility requirements are as follows:
- Business location must be within Cobb County;
- Business must have been in continuous operation since January 1, 2023;
- Business must have a current business license issued by Cobb County Government, City of Acworth, City of Austell, City of Kennesaw, City of Marietta, City of Powder Springs, or City of Smyrna;
- Business must be current on all local taxes;
- Business must be licensed and in good standing with the Bright from the Start: Georgia Department of Early Care and Learning as a “Child Care Learning Center” or a “Family Child Care Learning Home” as of January 1, 2023; and
- Business does not need to be a member of the Cobb Chamber, nor will there be any preferential consideration for Cobb Chamber members.
