The CORE Program is a program created to assist individuals and communities who are facing barriers to starting cannabis businesses due to the historical disparate enforcement of cannabis crimes. The City of Sacramento has been awarded $4.35 million in grant funds by the Governor’s Office of Economic and Business Development (Go-Biz) for the 2022 funding cycle. Of this amount, $3.35 million will be allocated towards a Tiered Grant Program and the remaining $1 million will be disbursed through a competitive grant application intended for larger projects.
