The City of Irving is the recipient of Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act (CARES Act) Emergency Solutions Grant Funds (ESG-CV). These ESG-CV funds must be used to prevent, prepare for, and respond to coronavirus among individuals and families who are homeless or receiving homeless assistance and to support additional homeless assistance and homelessness prevention activities to mitigate the impacts created by coronavirus.
ESG funds may be used for five program components: street outreach, emergency shelter, homelessness prevention, rapid re-housing assistance, and HMIS; as well as administrative activities.
Funding Information
- Subrecipient requests should be for a minimum of $25,000 to operate programs that are following ESG-CV funded activities
- Total Funding Amount: $1,000,000.
Eligibility Criteria
- Qualified non-profit homeless service providers organizations are encouraged to apply for funding. Funds must be used to assist Irving residents experiencing homelessness or receiving homeless assistance. Applicants will submit one application and indicate which project type they are proposing to provide. Applicants may apply for multiple project types but must provide adequate explanation of the proposed services and program design for each service proposed. Applicant agencies must apply for program funding under one of the following specific categories:
- Street Outreach
- Emergency Shelter and Temporary Emergency Shelter (Operations and Services)
- Newly added additional eligible activities included on ESG-CV Notices CPD-21-08 and CPD-20-08
