Cultural experiences have the power to enrich lives, expand knowledge, foster collaboration, and bring communities together around shared interests. Oklahoma’s rich cultural heritage encompasses a diverse array of traditions, artistic expressions, social practices, historical and intellectual achievements, and unique local cultures.
Priorities
Priority will be given to projects that meet the following criteria:
- Lift up and preserve local culture, art, history, and traditions that are unique to Oklahoma
- Expand access to cultural and arts programming for new audiences and/or underrepresented communities
- Facilitate diverse community participation in cultural programs and events
- Feature community partnerships, collaboration and engagement
- Increase awareness, understanding, and experience of Oklahoma’s diverse local cultures
- Strengthen the local cultural segment of Oklahoma’s creative economy
IMPORTANT NOTE: If you are requesting support for an existing project, one or both of the following elements must be central to your request:
- Expanding access to new audiences who have not previously had access to the project. Applicants will be asked to provide a clear strategy for audience engagement and measuring participation.
- Incorporating a new component of cultural programming that aligns with the funding priorities outlined above

- Projects must take place within Oklahoma County, Canadian County, Cleveland County, Logan County Counties.
Eligibility Criteria
- 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations located in CANADIAN, CLEVELAND, OKLAHOMA and LOGAN counties.
- Nonexempt organizations that qualify for the use of charitable dollars such as schools, local government agencies, or state/city-connected agencies may apply as long as the funding request is for public programs that take place in eligible Oklahoma counties.
- Organizations should be able to provide three years of board-approved financials upon request.
What they do not Fund
- Projects that originate outside of Oklahoma
- Individuals and private foundations
- Capital campaigns
- Fundraising events/activities
- Research projects
- Vehicle purchases
- Retroactive projects
