The Rotary Club of Newnan only accepts grant applications for projects or programs that benefit Coweta citizens. The Rotary Club of Newnan will consider support for a wide range of programs and services through the Community Grants program. 

The Rotary Club of Newnan only considers grants will be used for its stated purpose and will not be used in any program that otherwise discriminates on the basis of race, sex, religion, color, creed, disability, sexual orientation, national origin, ancestry or age, or any other basis prohibited by applicable law.

  • Youth at Risk After-School Programs
  • Emergency Shelter and Counseling Services for Victims of Violence, Domestic, Spousal, and Child Abuse
  • Homelessness
  • Disabled or Handicapped Job Training/Vocational Education
  • Substance and Alcohol Abuse
  • Older Adult Life Enrichment Programs
  • End of Life, Respite and Palliative Care
  • Pro-Life Resource Services
  • Literacy Programs
  • Animal Welfare
  • Food Bank
  • Medical/Dental Services at Qualified Free Clinic Providers
  • Churches (only if grant is unrelated to a religious purpose and does not promote a religion or sect)

NON-QUALIFIED GRANTEE PARTICIPANTS (list is not intended to be all-inclusive and is subject to review by the Grants Committee)

  • For Profit Businesses
  • Political organizations, campaigns, or candidates
  • Personal fundraising or fees for special events (runs, walk-a-thons, etc.)
  • Programs located outside our geographic granting area currently defined as Coweta County
  • Payment of funds to retire existing debts (prior to your application) or to pay costs that the applicant is already obliged to pay.
  • Annual Fundraising Campaigns or Fundraising Events
  • Medical Researchers or Practitioners
  • Emergency Disaster Relief
  • Publicly Funded Educational Institutions for the purpose of Educational Programs or Operational Funding

Eligibility Criteria

  • Organization must be a qualified 501c3
  • Grant requests my not exceed $1,500
  • Online application must be filled out in its entirety
  • Contact person must have direct knowledge of grant request and be able to answer any questions
  • Person completing grant application may be a person other than contact person
  • Only organizations serving Coweta residents may apply
  • During the grant review process, a member of their Community Grant Committee may contact the organization if any additional information is required.

Organizations applying for grant support may be required to submit to a site inspection.Any applications received after the deadline date and time will not be considered. Examples of grant uses may include but are not limited to the following:

  • Direct delivery of services to the population served (e.g. medical treatment, counseling, instruction, etc.)
  • Acquisition of tangible items for population served (e.g. food, clothes, instructional items, equipment for programs, etc.)
  • Purchase of equipment and tangible items for organization (e.g. vans, computers, copiers, etc.)
  • Services and intangibles for the organization (e.g. staff training)
  • Administrative Services and supplies to support delivery of program (e.g. accounting, management, maintenance, repairs, equipment lease and utilities)
  • Purchase of building or renovating facilities (e.g. bricks and mortar)
