Grants for Black Serving Organizations in Oregon

Dated: July 27, 2022

Black Student Success Capacity Building Grants are now accepting applications from Black led or Black serving organizations.

Donor Name: Oregon Community Foundation

State: Oregon

County: All Counties

Type of Grant: Grant

Deadline: 08/31/2022

Size of the Grant: $50,000

Grant Duration: 3 Years

Details:

The educational challenges that are faced by marginalized Black children in Oregon are too great for one organization or group to tackle alone. Success requires strategic, ongoing collaboration. Within the past few years, the Black Student Success Initiative has used this lens to support the operation and programming of Black-led, Black-serving organizations across the state as part of the Black Student Success Network (BSSN). Through these efforts, OCF learned that many organizations within this target demographic needed additional support to continue serving Black children and their families – increasing the capacity of these organizations would surely increase the impact they are able to make in service of Black Student Success across Oregon.
