Kansas: Albright Family Scholarship – Healthcare/Human Services

The Albright Family Healthcare/Human Services Scholarship provides financial assistance to encourage and support students entering their last two years of study in a healthcare- or human-services-related field at an accredited educational institution.

Details: 

This scholarship is for students who have shown through their actions and coursework a desire to seek a career in a healthcare or human services profession to care for or improve the well-being of others. Preference will be given to those who have worked or volunteered in a position demonstrating care, compassion, and service to others.

Funding Information

The recipients will receive a maximum of $5,000 each, awarded $1,250 per consecutive semester for four semesters for tuition assistance.

Scholarship Requirements

  • The applicant must be entering their last two years of undergraduate study at an accredited educational institution majoring in a healthcare or human services related field of study.
  • Applicants are required to be enrolled as a fulltime (minimum 12 credit hours) student.
  • Financial need of the applicant may be taken into consideration.
  • Applicants must document proof of enrollment in their specified program of study or continuing coursework toward their identified degree path each semester.
  • Scholarship funds will be distributed through the Community Foundation of Southeast Kansas directly to the institution of enrollment.
  • Any relative of the donor or of the Advisory selection committee is not eligible to apply due to IRS regulations.
