At Mazuma, the CSR Program (Corporate Social Responsibility) is the commitment to actively contribute to economic and social development by identifying both business and social needs in the communities they serve and working to improve the quality of life for the members.
The priorities for the Community Project Grants Program, funded through “The Mazuma Foundation”, are aligned to recognize and enhance the communities and members they serve in three areas;
- The Arts
- Financial Well Being
- Community Investment and Development
Applications that demonstrate work in one or more of these areas from an accredited 501c3 will be evaluated annually for potential funding of their programs and projects.

- Engage in local efforts to promote the arts in the communities they serve and which will provide increased visibility for Mazuma Credit Union with the target market.

- Projects that will help educate, train, further careers of artist in the Kansas City Area
- Projects/Programs designed to create or increase awareness in the Arts of Kansas City.

- Adult Education – Plan, organize, and support, financial education programs to teach adults fundamental personal finance skills.
- Youth Education – Partner with schools in the service area to enhance their financial education curriculum. Plan, organize, and support, financial education programs to teach children fundamental personal finance skills.

- Projects/Programs facilitated by community organizations (libraries, chambers of commerce, school systems etc.) that delivers adult or youth financial education initiatives
- Enhance the Economy – Programs/Projects that educate the adults and children allowing them to be more productive in the communities
- Projects/Programs that will sustain adult/youth financial education.

Funding Information
Maximum funding of $25,000 is awarded rarely and on an exceptional basis only. Generally, grants range from $10,000 to $15,000.

Only accredited 501c3 Organizations will be granted funding.
