The City of Riverside has elected to use its CDBG-CV allocation to fund a grant project for microenterprise businesses affected by the coronavirus pandemic.
Funding Information
- The Microenterprise Business Grant Program is an Inland SoCal United Way project in partnership with the City of Riverside Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program, that offers a One – time grant up to $7,500 to help assist Riverside small businesses with their needs during the local emergency.
Eligible activities may include:
- Financial assistance for business stabilization due COVID-19 related to revenue shortfalls including business license fees, lease payments, and payroll payments
- Assistance avoiding job loss caused by business closures related to social distancing
- Technical Assistance, Professional Advise, and Business Services
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants for CDBG-CV Microenterprise grant funding must have:
- A For-Profit Business with a valid City of Riverside Business License (first issued prior to January 21, 2020)
- All applicable business insurances
- Valid and current federal and state tax ID numbers
- Employ 5 or fewer people (including the owner)
- An owner or employee who meets the 80% AMI limit
