The Nashoba Valley Health Care Fund was established in 2006 when the Nashoba Valley Medical Center was purchased by Essent Healthcare. The endowment of the medical center was divided between the Community Foundation of North Central Massachusetts and Greater Lowell Community Foundation.
The Nashoba Valley Health Care Fund focuses on advancing the community health of residents in eleven (11) communities: Ashby, Ayer, Bolton, Groton, Harvard, Lancaster, Littleton, Lunenburg, Pepperell, Shirley, and Townsend.
Priority will be given to, but not limited to, proposals pertaining to:
- Prevention of health problems
- Access to healthcare services
- Elder health
- Youth and adolescent health
- Behavioral health
Funding Information
- Grant awards will range from $5,000 up to $20,000; however, larger-scale collaborative projects with requests that are more than $20,000 will be considered if the increased funding request is justified by the impact of the project.
