The Grant County Community Foundation is pleased to announce a 2022 grant cycle focused on supporting nonprofit organizations that meet the needs of their community and that work toward creating lasting and positive change.
Donor Name: Grant County Community Foundation
State: New Mexico
County: Grant County (NM), Luna County (NM), Hidalgo County (NM) and Catron County (NM)
Type of Grant: Grant
Deadline: 04/17/2022
Size of the Grant: $10,000
Details:
People with disabilities, or those at risk for a development disability, face a number of barriers to participation in social and work environments in their society. A large body of evidence also indicates that people with disabilities are more likely to live below the federal poverty level.
This grant is designed to address some of these inequities and is funded by the LifeQuest Endowed Fund at the Grant County Community Foundation. It is open to nonprofit organizations in the four-county area served by Grant County Community Foundation (Grant, Hidalgo, Catron, Luna). As accessibility and disability are wide ranging, grant applications could cover programs that address issues as diverse as adaptive equipment, access to services, transportation, inclusion/integration in community, disability rights, ability to move independently, education, or assistive technology.
Funding Information
- A grant of up to $10,000 will be awarded.
Eligibility Criteria
- Grant applications are invited from any nonprofit that is a 501(c)3 organization, or has a fiscal sponsor who is a 501(c)3 organization, who conducts activities within southwest New Mexico for the benefit of those communities, and who meet the requirements of the grants as outlined.
