Pitch Elk Grove is an opportunity for local entrepreneurs to showcase their business, receive mentorship, and win prize money for their business.
Recognizing the need to promote area startups and spotlight the Sacramento region as a startup hub, the City of Elk Grove is presenting its inaugural startup pitch event — Pitch Elk Grove. Pitch Elk Grove will provide innovative, investable startups with the opportunity to showcase their companies in person at a pitch event to take place Thursday, March 31, 2022, in Elk Grove.
The Pitch Elk Grove event process will include an initial selection of up to 16 semi-finalist startups who will move on to the semi-finalist pitch-off — a virtual event to determine up to eight finalists that will present IN-PERSON in Elk Grove at the final event.
The Startup Elk Grove Incentive Program provides technical and financial assistance to launching and scaling startups, and for co-working and incubator facilities that support them. To qualify, startups must operate in Elk Grove and be an emerging or scaling company commercializing innovative products and platforms in most tech verticals.

Eligibility Criteria
- Be an emerging or scaling tech company in a tech vertical commercializing innovative products and platforms
- Have a working prototype/MVP
- Be generating revenue or close to it
- Be located in one of the seven regional counties: Sacramento, Yolo, Placer, El Dorado, Sutter, Yuba, San Joaquin.
- Submit a pitch deck as part of the application
- Be able to attend the IN-PERSON event at Elk Grove on March 31, 2022.
