Project Grant Program to support Single Art Projects in Georgia

Dated: December 23, 2021

Georgia Council for the Arts (GCA) is seeking applications for its Project Grants to provide support for arts projects in Georgia. Projects may be one-time events, such as a festival or exhibit, or a series of events, such as a roster of classes or a series of productions. Projects with multiple components must show that there is a cohesive thread and singular goal that ties the arts project elements together

Donor Name: Georgia Council for the Arts

State: Georgia

County: All Counties

Type of Grant: Grant

Deadline (mm/dd/yyyy): 02/03/2022

Size of the Grant: $1,000 and $6,000

Grant Duration: 1 year

Details:

Project Grants support single art projects such as an art exhibit, a theatre production, a series of workshops for children, or an artist residency. In FY23, because of the impact of COVID-19 on organizations across the state, Project Grant applicants will be able to apply for capacity building projects, such as developing a strategic plan, a development plan, or a plan to safely reopen an arts facility.

As a response to the impact of COVID-19 on arts organizations, FY23 Project Grants will allow organizations to apply for capacity building projects. This could include projects such as hiring a consultant to help develop a fundraising plan, a strategic plan, or a COVID safety plan in order to reopen an arts facility. The project must be arts-related. For instance, a development plan for a history museum is not an eligible project. The grant application has different narrative questions depending on whether you are applying for an arts program or a capacity building project.
