The Fund looks for proposals that:
- Identify a community problem exacerbated by the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic and a strategy for providing a sustainable solution.
- Include intentional components that are consistent with the Community Fund’s Vision of Chelsea.
- Present a clear timeline that explains the project objectives.
- Explanation of how the grant amount will be appropriate for the overall size and scope of the proposed project.
- Demonstrate that the project proposed for funding will continue to have an impact on the problem or need for services addressed after the grant period.
Funding Information
Fund grants will be up to $7,000 and directed to projects and programs that can play a key role in solving a COVID-related community problem through services provided to Chelsea residents.
Eligibility Criteria
- Must serve Chelsea residents. Chelsea-based organizations will be prioritized.
- Requests will be considered for projects and programs that will support COVID-19 impacted community members to recover from the pandemic.
- Tax-exempt status under section 501(c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code, OR with a qualified, tax-exempt fiscal sponsor.
