Details:
Residential Façade Grants focus on the exterior makeover of the home. Examples include painting, window and door repair or replacement, porch repair and landscaping. Generally, all work is completed in one-two days.
Homeowners unable to provide the full 50% matching funds may earn sweat equity. Sweat Equity is earned by volunteering to work on other home improvement projects with Habitat for Humanity. Sweat Equity must be approved by Façade Committee and completed before funds are awarded.
Funding Information
- Grants of $500 to $2000 will be awarded for façade improvement costs. The homeowner must provide at least 50% of the cost of the project. Projects of any price range are welcome. Those over $4000.00 are eligible, but will receive a maximum of $2,000.00.
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicant Must Be the Homeowner
- Home Must be within the city limits of the City of Cadillac
- Must be Current on Homeowners Insurance and Taxes (documentation may be required)
- Homeowner Must Demonstrate a financial need by falling within the median income range for Wexford County
- Homeowner has a financial obligation of at least 50% of the total cost of all out of pocket expenses
- Willing to display partnership materials**
- Must utilize Habitat for Humanity’s on – staff licensed contractor
- Photographs of site before and after construction are required and may be used by partners of the program.
** Partnership materials may include a window decal or a yard sign.
