The Young Citizens of the Year award, hosted by the Ann Arbor Area Community Foundation, recognizes leadership and community service (outside of school-based activities) on the part of Washtenaw County high school students.
Funding Information
Each of the Young Citizens of the Year will receive a $3,500 scholarship to the higher education institution of their choice.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the nomination, the student must (1) currently be enrolled in a public or private school located in Washtenaw County (2) be a freshman, sophomore, junior, or senior during the 21/22 school year, and (3) have engaged in community service activities that are not school-based.
