The Outdoor Seating and Accessories is a grant to provide a level of financial support to tourism and hospitality businesses to purchase or upgrade equipment to provide additional outdoor capacity and offer outdoor public experiences. This grant is open to commercial properties within the City of Fountain Inn’s Main Street Program Area.
Eligible improvement include but are not limited to the following:
- Tables
- Chairs
- Sunshades
- Screens
- Windbreaks
- Plant Stands
- Awnings
- Murals
All applicants will be required to comply with planning codes, legislative requirements, and other compliance requirements. This grant is available to commercial properties within the Fountain Inn Main Street Program Area. The City of Fountain Inn requires a detailed line item budget be submitted and approved before any purchases are made.
Funding Information
Applicants are eligible to receive up to 75% of their project cost up to$4,000.
To be eligible for consideration, please attached the following:
- Proof of building ownership, such as a copy of the recorded deed with owner name matching applicant name (if leasing property, written approval from building owner is required).
- Proof of current property and casualty insurance.
- Two (2) to four (4) photographs of current outdoor conditions including close up and panoramic shots.
- Conceptual design plans and an outline of proposed improvements, including a materials list.
- Two (2) written cost estimates/bids from licensed construction professionals.
- Detailed line item budget.
- Accurate color samples (required for painting approvals).
- Pictures that indicate quality of finishes.
- Signage renderings that graphically indicate sign lettering style, size and sign dimensions.
- License numbers for any contractors and subcontractors involved in project.
