The Alexandria Office of the Arts’ Creative Neighborhoods Grant program (CNGP) is funded by the National Endowment for the Arts. The CNGP is a new program to provide funding for nonprofit organizations that can develop creative projects which can showcase the art, musical performance, culture, tradition, and heritage of underserved communities in the City of Alexandria neighborhoods including Arlandria, Parker-Gray and the West End areas. CNGP grants will provide broad access to diverse cultural programs, leading to long term, equitable support of diverse communities in the City.

Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the Creative Neighborhood Grant Program nonprofit organizations are required to:
- be based in the city limits of Alexandria, VA.
- be a 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization (please note that fiscal agents and pass through funding WILL NOT be permitted).
- intents to engage and hire artists to create, exhibit, present, produce, or perform in an art discipline in one of the three targeted neighborhoods.
- nonprofit organizations must have been in existence for one year prior to applying and must stay in existence during the grant period.
- arts projects and activities must take place within the City of Alexandria, VA.
- arts programs, projects and activities previously awarded by the City by other City grant programs are NOT eligible; and
- is in compliance with all local, state, and federal laws.
