Details: 

The Foundation awarded Community Impact Grants to four groups for the 2021-2022 fiscal year, totaling $50,000:

  • The Boys & Girls Club – To fund a program to support youth fitness called “Jumpstart Jackson”
  • Habitat for Humanity – To fund a program to help elderly home owners with home repairs
  • Regional Inter-Faith Association – To fund the mobile meal service, “Bus Stop Café”
  • Mother/Baby Unit at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital – To fund the purchase of sleep sacks for infants born at JMCGH to promote safe sleep practices and reduce the risk of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS)

Funding Information

Community Impact Grants will be awarded in amounts between $5,000 and $20,000.

Grant Period

Grants are for a one year term – July 1, 2022 – June 30, 2023. Funding should not be requested for projects that fall outside of the funding term.

Eligibility Criteria

  • The Foundation supports programs and projects that benefit the people of Madison County.
  • There is no specific area(s) of focus for these awards. However, priority will be on projects that improve the health and well-being of the community.
  • These awards will not fund loans or debt service, unrestricted operating support, endowments, grants to individuals or areas of government, or fundraising events.
  • Applicants must have 501 (c)(3) status or be a current, active fund of the Foundation, in good standing.
  • Grantees may apply for funding for the same project no more than two consecutive years.
