Grants for humanities programs are awarded to encourage greater public participation in humanities programming, spark imagination, and promote thoughtful conversation across the state. They especially encourage you to apply with ideas for programs that engage underserved communities.
Types of Grants
Mini & Major Grants
Mini Grants (up to $2,000) are awarded four times per year. Award decisions are made by the end of the month. Major Grants ($2,001 – $10,000) are awarded three times per year. Award decisions are made about two months after the deadline.
Eligibility Criteria
- An applicant must be a nonprofit organization. This includes historical societies, libraries, colleges, schools, civic organizations, or an ad hoc group with a nonprofit serving as fiscal sponsor.
