Priority consideration will be given to:
- Businesses that have not received funding from previous YoCo BLOOM grant programs
- Businesses owned by Women or Veterans
- Business owned by Black, Indigenous, and People of Color
- Businesses that have the trail friendly business designation or are in one of the seven Trail Towns. These include the City of York, Seven Valleys, Glen Rock, Hanover, Railroad, New Freedom, and Wrightsville

- A total of $30,000 grant funds will be allocated
- Grant amounts will range from $500 to $3,000
Grant Criteria
- New Tangible improvements such as:
- Exterior façade or interior renovations
- Curb appeal/placemaking enhancements
- Lighting improvements; safety upgrades both interior and exterior
- Equipment such as improved commercial kitchen equipment, merchandising and display fixtures, point of sale technology upgrades to improve speed and customer experience
- Space expansions/renovations
- Other material improvements to the business that would expand growth, business services, and business opportunity and/or make a positive impact on the overall local business environment.
Eligibility Criteria
- This program is primarily intended for for-profit businesses, but nonprofits providing a specific service to trail users may be eligible to apply.
- Priority considerations will be given to the following, but will not exempt other applicants from applying:
- Eligible businesses that are designated a Trail-Friendly Business or are in one of the seven York County Trail Towns: City of York, Seven Valleys, Glen Rock, Railroad, New Freedom, Hanover, or Wrightsville.
- Eligible businesses owned by Black, Indigenous, and People of Color
- Eligible businesses owned by women and veterans.
- Eligible businesses that have not received funding from previous YoCo Bloom grant programs will be given priority consideration.
