The 2022-2023 Youth Service Zone program supports collaboratives consisting of state agencies, regional alliances and associations, and other eligible entities in increasing youth volunteer rates across their state or their region.
Each applicant will be required to identify two other partners that will comprise their collaboration. Each partner must be committed to leading this initiative and must be a different type from the following options:
At the state level:
- state education agency
- state afterschool network
- state mentoring network
- high school activity league
- statewide nonprofit association
- state service commission
- state Campus Compact
At a city/county level:
- school district / LEA
- youth development collaborative
- citywide afterschool or mentoring program
- volunteer center or United Way
- Mayor’s office/Chief Service Officer
- local higher education consortium
Funding Information
Funded by AmeriCorps, each Youth Service Zone grantee will receive a $15,000 grant to support program activities that build partnerships and capacity to increase youth volunteer participation rates.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants may work regionally or statewide and must be based in the United States.
