100x Impact Accelerator Program (Second Cohort)

Dated: June 19, 2023

100x Impact Accelerator, a leading global impact accelerator based at the London School of Economics (LSE), is calling for applications to its second cohort to create the next generation of “social unicorns”– organisations working to achieve positive impact on the scale of billions.

Donor Name: Impact Areas

Country: Global

Type of Grant: Accelerator

Deadline: 07/03/2023

Size of the Grant: £150,000

Details:

Impact Areas

  • Climate and Environment
  • Democracy
  • Education
  • Equitable Economies
  • Happiness and Wellbeing
  • Health and Social Care
  • New Frontiers
  • Refugees and Cohesion

Benefits

  • Selected ventures will have access to:
    • £150,000 in catalytic capital
    • A 12-weeks accelerator programme that covers endgames and strategies for scale, impact measurement and fundraising.
    • Bespoke support from world leading experts and experienced mentors
    • A community of likeminded peers from different parts of the world
    • Connections to international philanthropists, investors, and business leaders
    • A Summit Day, where founders will showcase their solutions and successes to philanthropists, investors, governments, and media.

Types of ventures they are looking for

  • They’re looking for innovative impact scale-ups.
  • Applicants should have a proven track record and be ready for their next big leap of growth.
  • In an application, they want to hear from outstanding social entrepreneurs who are bold, collaborative, self-aware and kind.
  • You should be able to demonstrate that your organisation offers a game-changing solution that’s already driving positive change.
  • And you must be able to prove that amplifying your impact can result in change on a significant scale.

Eligibility Criteria

  • They welcome applicants from anywhere in the world but suggest you look at the following base-level criteria before embarking on your application:
    • Impact-first organisation – may be structured as a non-profit or a for-profit.
    • Can be registered and/or operating from anywhere in the world.
    • Delivering impact within at least one of the eight Impact Areas.
    • Impact achieved to date is reaching at least 1,000 customers and/or constituents via a direct B2C model; have at least 2 partners if delivering via an indirect B2B or B2G (government) model.
    • Operating with a team of 4 or more full-time paid employees.
    • Raised at least USD100,000 in capital from any source.
    • You are not applying on behalf of a government body, grantmaking foundation, financing intermediary, or similar entities.

Ineligibility Criteria

  • The list of things 100x does not fund:
    • Ideas, blueprints, or pre-pilot stage organisations
    • For-profit companies without a clear impact focus or social mission
    • Initiatives or programmes housed within a mature, established organisation – unless the programme will be spun out, and there are plans to do so
    • Organisations that consult on behalf of clients (unless this is part of a unique model and different to traditional consulting firms).
